Volunteer Your Time
Youth Unlimited Newmarket currently has approximately 16 volunteers. Qualified
volunteers can work on a one-to-one basis with teens in The Shop, whether or
not they have first hand mechanical experience. Volunteers are also needed to
do such tasks as book-keeping, prayer co-ordination, community events
organization, telephone work, fundraising, counseling, and other tasks.
Whatever skill you have to offer, The Shop would welcome the opportunity to
talk to you about it!
Volunteers need to:

undergo an orientation session prior to working with teens

have a criminal record check if working with teens

possess a first aid certificate or agree to attend a first aid course if
working with teens
Volunteers need not to:
-
have mechanical experience
-
commit to large portions of time, since some volunteers are needed on a casual
time basis (eg. Towing of vehicles from a donors house to The Shop on an as
needed basis)
